Special Teams in Tecmo are interesting in that most of the recorded stats are aligned to returns (both punt and kick), and punts.

The best special team units are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints - the kick returner's speed is not determined by the actual returner's speed but actually by an offensive linemen on each team.
